We have expertise dealing with pregnant women with medical disease complicating pregnancies. This includes women with systemic lupus, auto-immune antibodies, Rhesus antibody, and multiple pregnancy (twin and triplet). We are comfortable in managing women with thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and low platelet count. We also manage pregnant women with chronic diseases such as asthma, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's, liver disease, renal disease and etc.

We deal with women with previous pregnancy complications, include women with recurrent miscarriages, systemic lupus, cervical incompetence, obstetric cholestasis, and recurrent intra-uterine growth restriction.

We can also handle women with perinatal infection, including viral, bacterial and parasitic infection during pregnancy. These conditions may affect the fetus and mother alike. Some conditions will improve or even fully recover with appropriate treatment is given at timely manner. Mothers with Parvovirus infection may result in fetal hydrops and fetal loss. With appropriate treatment, the baby will have full recovery and no long term consequent.

Women with previous fetal abnormality will also benefit from the morphology screening by our Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. This will reassure parent and give them piece of mind throughout the current pregnancy.

We can deal with fetuses with single or multiple anomalies needing medical care or in-utero treatment. Some clinical conditions can be improved before birth to ensure the highest possible chance of safe delivery, and survival rate.
